Mermaid Grows Her Tail Back

out of the blue emerged she who
was led to surface to
do what she came here to do
(sometimes you just gotta do scary
so as not to let scary do you) 
and all kinds of limbs just grew
the uninformed prince never knew
that her fragments bestrew
their walk of life askew
which, of course, is nothing new
but her soul flew the coup
and she started to spew
memories of everything that blew through
the completion that it came to
phew
time to grow her tail anew
and re-escape into the blue
